Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
Our sustained commitment to equity for all
Since its inception in 2018, Park Century’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) has organized to support and empower the diverse students, parents, and staff that make up our community.
We believe our differences—in race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age ability, socioeconomic status, nationality, religion, belief system, language learning styles, and more—strengthen and enrich our educational experience.
Originally formed by a few dedicated members of our faculty, the DEIC has expanded to include administration, parents, and trustees committed to promoting equity, reducing bias, increasing multicultural representation, and providing space for everyone to feel welcome and included in our community.
DEIC Mission
As a school for neurodiverse students, Park Century seeks to understand and embrace differences of all kinds including race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, gender, gender identity and expression, religion, and ability. We stand against racism and discrimination and are dedicated to an inclusive school culture. Park Century benefits from diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that this work is an ongoing process, and we are committed to it. Therefore, we intentionally create opportunities to empathize, engage, and grow from perspectives both inside and outside of our community.
