Apply to Park Century School

Following your inquiry, a school tour with the Director of Admission will be scheduled. During the tour, you can hear more about our school’s history, philosophy, mission, and programs. You will have an opportunity to see students in their classrooms and learn about the next steps in the admission process.

You can begin the application process here. Applications must be submitted with the following:

• Current neuropsychological testing or IEP. Cognitive testing must be included. Testing must have been administered within the past three years*
• All educational records and reports
• Recommendation forms from the current school and any outside providers
• Other pertinent information could include speech and language evaluations, tutoring or educational therapy reports, and any relevant medical information such as optometry or audiology reports
• Application fee of $220

*If you are submitting an IEP, you must also submit the psychoeducational testing that was done when the IEP was initiated or from the most recent triennial review. If a WISC-V was not administered as part of the testing, you might be required to have one done as part of the admissions process.

The Admission Team will review your child’s materials and schedule an informal interview with the Head of Admission and the grade-level Division Head if we believe Park Century is the right school for them.

Students may be invited to Park Century for a shadow visit after the interview if appropriate. A shadow visit is an opportunity for prospective students to spend the day at the school. Shadow students are paired with a buddy who will guide them throughout the day. The shadow day allows teachers to learn more about the prospective student and their individual needs, and provide feedback to the Admission Team. Special care is taken to ease anxiety and create a welcoming atmosphere for all of our visiting students. Students may shadow for one or two days. 

At this time, it will be essential to ensure all additional forms required for admission have been sent to all parties to complete and return directly to Park Century. Recommendation forms will only be accepted if sent directly from the provider to Park Century. These forms can be found when completing the application and on our website under the admissions tab.

Once the student has completed all portions of the admission process and all required forms have been received by Park Century, the Admission Team will meet to review the file. During this meeting, the team will discuss if Park Century has the appropriate program plan to meet the student’s academic and social-emotional needs.

If an enrollment contract is offered, the family will be notified via email. Students are accepted to Park Century on a rolling basis, as space permits, and therefore, can start at various points throughout the school year. Tuition is prorated accordingly.
